He needs the extra book to tell the story fully and to do his mythology proper justice. It seems as though it will be autumn 2007 before we see publication of book 3 as curently he is finishing up writing "the scarlet gospels". I'm so thrilled that the series is longer... there's always this heaviness after you finish a series... like the last period closed off a part of you that can't be opened again. It's a bittersweet moment. But, I'm also thrilled that he's so excited about it, because it means that it's going to be a wonderful book! I'm also really glad that he mentioned the Thief of Always movie... for some reason that confirmed in my brain that it's definitely going to happen. I was drawn in by the art work on the cover. I read the back and at first I was like 'do I really want to read a book about a girl from a chicken farm' but then I read the first few pages and was like 'this is pretty good'. Was it only me who thought there was something between Candy and Finnegan at the end of book 2? It might just be my imagination, I don't know.<br/><br/>About Carrion, I always thought he died. And I think Mater Motley thought that, too. I just assumed she was happy to take over, which is why there was no mourning. Of course, I really hope he's not dead.
