Though Barker as of March 2006, announced that a fifth book shall be released in the Abarat series. Its is rumored to be called "Golden Dawning". At the earliest, It seems as it could be October 2007 for Abarat 3. barker is currently writing a novel called "The Scarlet Gospel" which he will hand in to his publishers at the end of 2006.
